Phillip – Founder, Certified Dog Trainer & Husky Dad Extraordinaire
Before he was leading pups on the path to good behavior, Phillip was walking a very different kind of beat—as a dedicated police officer. Now retired from the force, he’s traded in his badge for a treat pouch (though he still has that “don’t test me” energy when it comes to leash manners).
Phillip is a certified dog trainer, the proud dog dad to two beautiful Huskies—Athena and Apollo—and the founder of P.A.R. Pups. After years of working in public service and training through PetSmart, he shifted gears when his granddaughter was born, choosing to stay closer to home. But let’s be honest—he couldn’t stay away from the pups for long.
Driven by purpose and a soft spot for dogs who just need a little direction, Phillip built P.A.R. Pups to bring structure, heart, and a little humor into everyday dog training. He believes the best kind of discipline comes with kindness, clarity, and the occasional squeaky toy.
Michaela – Co-Founder & Chief Chaos Coordinator
Retired phlebotomist. New mom. Dog lover in recovery. Michaela co-founded P.A.R. Pups with a heart full of good intentions and a mild obsession with getting the details just right (when the baby’s not napping on her, of course). She mostly stays behind the scenes—offering support, structure, and the occasional “does this look okay?” approval. She brings a soft spot for messy beginnings, second chances, and the kind of order that only comes from living in mild, beautiful chaos.
Fun Fact: She’s not training dogs right now, but she is successfully managing snack time, nap logistics, and the occasional existential business crisis.
